I am a licensed Real Estate agent in Florida though I made my license inactive a few years ago. There were two aspects of the job I thoroughly enjoy. The first is people. I get jazzed at meeting new people, hearing a bit of their story, and asking questions to learn how to best assist them with their buying or selling goals. It's also a joy to teach them about the process and answer any questions they may have. The second is the paperwork. I'm not kidding; I'm serious! I fancy the challenge of thorough contract preparation and offer writing. It thrills me when all the Ts are crossed and Is are dotted.

During the almost five years my husband and I worked our Real Estate business as a team I was the Transaction Coordinator...and I am sure you can see why. Acting in this capacity also utilized the skills I learned previously as a department manager at a major retailer - making and keeping schedules; training employees in systems and procedures; and customer service - as well those learned as a Financial Aid Counselor at Southeastern University (my alma mater) which included meticulous data entry, systems coordination, and abiding by strict Florida state reporting and regulations.

When my a cancer diagnosis and treatment took me out of active Real Estate work, the obvious answer to the question, "What do I do now?" was to take advantage of my love of paperwork via offering Transaction Coordination services.
